I'm aware you said you'd be in today eventually, but I thought it might interest you to know that Internal Affairs have been here all morning after receiving an anonymous tip that this entire department is corrupted. They are, in particular, looking at your record. The rumor is that if you don't show up by the end of the day to answer for some missing cocaine, Lieutenant Welsh will take the punishment for it.
I'm sure you have your reasons for being out of the office today, but if you see this, please come to the station as quickly as possible.
