Benton Fraser is a constable with the RCMP. He first came to Chicago on the trail of his father's killers, and for reasons that do not need exploring at this juncture, he has remained as liaison to the Canadian consulate.
He lives quite comfortably in a small room in the consulate with his deaf half-wolf, and spends most of his time helping his friend Ray solve crimes for the Chicago PD.
