I must say I find it odd that my father has so much more interest in my personal life now that he’s dead than he ever did when he was alive. Grandchildren. What would he do with them? Haunt them?

She’s a fine woman: beautiful, smart, considerate, caring. And I think she genuinely understands where I’m coming from most of the time, which is more than I can say for a lot of people, I think. And I like her very much.

So why am I glad I didn’t kiss her?
